Stefano and Paola Bigi, the current directors of Stefano Bigi, often visited their grandfather and father at the workshop during their childhood. Recalling those days, they remember playing in the Como workshop filled with piles of colorful silk, eventually being chased out by their grandfather, Luigi. Along with those memories, they still clearly recall the unique scent of raw silk fabric.

The history of Bigi Cravatte dates back to 1938, when their grandfather, Luigi Draga, opened a tie workshop in Milan called Pulcher. When their father took over the company in the 1970s, it was renamed West Point. Later, when Stefano and Paola took the lead, they finally began using the name Bigi Cravatte. Although the name has changed over time, the company has always remained dedicated to exceptional craftsmanship and traditional Italian style.

Today, Bigi Cravatte is still produced in the same townhouse in southern Milan. Here, they produce ties for their own brand as well as for other highly regarded international labels. The fabrics are designed by Stefano and Paola and are woven exclusively by the world’s finest silk mills. These silks are then sent to their Milan studio, where each one is carefully handcrafted into a tie. This thoughtful approach to production has captured the hearts of customers worldwide, who appreciate the value of Bigi Cravatte through fabrics designed and finished with true artistry.
