To ensure that no skin is exposed between the trousers and socks when sitting down, many gentlemen prefer "long socks" with their suits. In 2015, Mementomori introduced dress cotton socks specifically tailored to the Korean physique—shorter than those of famous overseas brands but with enough tension to prevent them from slipping down. Over the past eight years of offering and wearing these dress socks, we identified areas for improvement regarding length, tension, and material. The 2023 New Dress Socks are the result of those refinements.

We have reduced the length from 31cm to 26cm, a modification that minimizes leg fatigue and moisture buildup while still ensuring that skin remains hidden even when crossing your legs in a suit. We continue to utilize the Hand-Linking method for all seams, a manual process that eliminates any discomfort around the toes when wearing dress shoes. The yarn used is Mercerized Cotton, which is three times more expensive than standard cotton; it retains the natural breathability, softness, and durability of cotton while providing a subtle sheen, making it the ultimate sock for formal attire.
